This article is for you early Christmas lovers out there. It is almost time for everyone to put on their funky sweaters and drink some hot chocolate because Freeform finally released their ’25 days of Christmas’ Marathon.
The marathon starts with Richies Rich’s Christmas Wish, made in 1998 about a little boy who wishes he was never born and is now in a parallel universe and has to find a way to fix everything. Freeform obviously had to add some of the best christmas comedies, like all three of the Santa Clause movies, starring Tim Allen when he turns into Santa and save Christmas. All of the Home Alone movies are on there as well. If you dislike these types of movies, but you still like comedy, The Simpsons have their own holiday marathon throughout the month.
Freeform will also be showing a lot of kid friendly movies. They will be showing the 2000 version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Even a Kung fu Panda Holiday Special, about Po, the panda who has to choose between a winter festival or his father’s business. Also, Disney will be doing their own holiday segment to display some of their own Christmas magic. Movies like Shrek and Despicable Me will be shown so kids with parents who are sick of the sleigh bells ringing can enjoy the holiday as well.
Don’t worry, Freeform has not forgotten about the best holiday classics. The first classic movie that will be shown is the The Little Drummer Boy, which is about a shepherd orphan boy that plays his drum for baby Jesus and makes the animals dance. Another classic being played is Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town, which is about a little boy, named Kris, who was dropped off at the steps of the Kringle family, who are toy makers, and he grows up to making toys for a living. Last, but certainly not least, the best movies to cuddle up with your favorite people and have some cookies too are Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Those movies have the cutest plot and you can’t help but sing all the songs you hear in these movies.
Now let’s get into the Christmas spirit! Enjoy this cold air, so classes can get canceled and students can watch movies all day.
