Friday, October 4, the Campus Activities Board (CAB) hosted their second bingo event of the fall semester. Students played nine rounds to win mystery prize bags. The winner of the final round received a pair of Beats headphones.
The prize bags this month contained different types of food – everything from a variety of Oreos, spicy food items, and Halloween themed treats were up for grabs.
Each round of bingo varies slightly from the last and different rules may apply depending on the type of round. The crowd favorite was ‘Loser.’ The longer students go without a number being called, the more likely they are to win. The last person without having a number called on their board is crowned the ‘Loser’ and wins a gift bag.
WSU sophomore, Sabrina Bourassa, previously frequented the event, “I went a couple of times last year at the beginning of the semester,” and claims that, “When I did go it was really fun.”
Bourassa said she likes that the gift bags change each time, giving students the chance to win new prizes. The prizes “were all really good this time,” said Bourassa.
CAB hosts brown bag bingo for Westfield students on the first Friday of every month, as well as a wide array of different events for students to get involved in around campus. Bingo is arguably one of the more popular events.
The next Brown Bag Bingo event will take place Friday, November 1 in the Scanlon Banquet Hall.
