Wednesday, March 25 held at Alumni Field the Westfield State women’s lacrosse team will face Maine’s Colby College. After a tough loss to Hamilton College in the week prior, the Owls hope to find a stride in their 2-4 record.
Before the game, Christina Roncarati, the lead scorer for Westfield’s team, offered some pregame thoughts. “The team we’re playing is a highly ranked team (Colby College ranked #11 in Division Three) I think this will be a very exciting game,” Roncarati stated. “We just need to play smart and fast for a competitive game . We had a great week last week in Florida beating Plymouth State and lost in a close game against Hamilton 10-6. Our defense was loud, we won many draws and our attack competed very well.”
The Westfield State Athletic Instagram page hypes up the upcoming game through a social media post.
