My Adventures With Superman

As someone who isn’t the biggest Superman fan, this show really brought me back into being interested in the character. This show really nails the characters and gives them purposeful arcs. It’s one of the best animated shows I’ve seen this year, and despite Max’s problems with not taking care of their animated properties, the new guard are at least being valued. It does a great deal to have this new version of the character be exploring who he is, and figuring out his identity. I think with characters like Superman, it is better to start with showing how they got to be a superhero, than dropping us into the middle of their journey. While some superhero stories can pull off their story without an origin story, sometimes it’s needed. In the case of this show, it adds to the viewing enjoyment, as it is one of the best modern versions of Superman’s story in a while. I highly recommend this show, for both new fans of Superman, and diehard fans.
